D. 23 Citizens for Victory continued with its crusade against isolationist Congressmen despite the increasing realisation that the organisation would not even come close to achieving the status of previous internationalist organisations. Treasurer Frederick McKee wrote to executive committee members in April informing them of the group’s financial difficulties. Although Citizens for Victory had received calls for help in districts with isolationist Congressmen, McKee urged that ‘the extent of such action depends almost entirely on the financial support which we can secure’.
